"..., the EAA is publishing the first edition of an EAA Yearbook which is intended to be published on an annual basis and be a useful manual for the Members, Media, Sponsors and other appreciated partners of the EAA....It contains information, as well as results and comments of athletic events, lists of European Records, European best performances, Championships' and European' Cups best performances...". Parole riprese dalla prefazione della prima edizione del Book, 1993 - 1994. Erano firmate da Carl-Olaf Homén, finlandese, a quel tempo presidente della Associazione Europea. Aveva ricoperto l'incarico di presidente del Comitato organizzatore della prima edizione del Campionato del mondo di atletica, a Helsinki, nell'agosto del 1983. A quelle parole non c'è, oggi, molto altro da aggiungere: trattasi di un classico Annual di atletica, ben compilato, accurato e completo. |

| ANNOTAZIONI | La Associazione continentale ha mantenuto il suo impegno di editare il Book ogni anno. Dalla edizione 1993 - 94 è stato pubblicato 23 volte.
